Could you become an ambassador for GT Scholars?

Ambassadors: Our ambassadors are a network of dedicated volunteers that actively promote and support GT Scholars in their spare time. Ambassadors can be undergraduates, graduates or professionals.

Availability: Ambassadors are involved in a range of activities that can easily be done within your free time, at lunch time or after work. We ask that all ambassadors aim to be available for 8-10 sessions in the year. Sessions can be at lunch time, after work or at weekends.

Location: All of London


We will contact you with opportunities that you can support us with. This could include:

  • Meeting parents and young people at our open days
  • Supporting our team at our recruiting, promotion and enrichment events
  • Delivering talks to local organisations and community groups
  • Interviewing and selecting new volunteers and staff to join us
  • Speaking as a panel member at our events
  • Sharing and promoting GT Scholars through your personal and professional network
  • Sharing your experiences and contributing to our online blog
  • Interviewing and selecting new scholars joining our programmes

Person specification:

  • Be passionate and committed to tackling educational inequality
  • Be a promoter of social mobility
  • Enjoy working with children and young people
  • Possess strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Be punctual and organised

Additional information:
Please note that this is a volunteering role. You do not need a degree for this role but you must be over the age of 18. Activities will usually take place in different parts of London. You will be provided with support and training for your role.
