Our Name Has Officially Changed to GT Scholars

For anyone who has been on the pilot programme, you will be aware that we used the phrase GT Schools to describe the programme.

We’re now incorporated as a Community Interest Company, and we have officially changed the programme’s name to ‘The GT Scholars’ programme’ – GT Scholars for short!

The website will now be gtscholars.org, which will launch towards the end of January 2016.

About Us

We’re a global education company based in London, England, and we’re passionate about potential!

Our mission is to empower and develop the next generation of leaders and change-makers across the globe. We empower young people by giving them the support, skills and strategies they need to help them achieve their full potential!

We run high-impact tutoring, mentoring & career insight programmes that help our scholars aged 11-18. Our programmes help scholars discover their strengths, develop their mindsets and design their futures.

What Does GT Scholars Mean?

People often think of gifted & talented children as children who are naturally talented in Maths, English, Science, Computing, Music, Art, Drama or Sports. Moreover, only the high-achieving students are usually the ones who are perceived to be gifted and talented.

However, we like to think of this from a different perspective:

We know children can be gifted with high empathy, confidence or even patience. Similarly, other children can be gifted in public speaking or be altruistic and speak up for others. Students can have gifts in many areas such as entrepreneurship, creativity, perseverance or leadership…the list goes on.

Changing Perspective

So we would like to challenge you to rethink the phrase “gifted and talented”.

Looking at the phrase ‘gifted and talented’ from a new perspective will help you realise that ALL children have so much potential.

When parents, teachers, tutors and mentors begin to accept each child as gifted and talented, we can embrace their talents.

When we change our perspective, only then will we begin to see just how amazing they are!
