At GT Scholars, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful and engaging online learning environment for all young people. To ensure everyone has a positive experience, we ask all scholars and parents to follow these guidelines.

Reminders for Online Safety

• Your behaviour online matters. No bullying, rude comments or offensive language. 
• Make sure you’re dressed appropriately, joining from a quiet space and using respectful language in the chat and discussions.
• Keep personal information private – Never share full names, addresses, phone numbers or any other private details.
• Use appropriate video & audio settings – Mute your mic when not speaking and ensure your background is suitable for a learning environment. If you’re unsure about how to do this, please contact the GT Scholars Team.
• During an online workshop, if someone is already speaking and you’d like to speak as well, please raise your hand via the online platform or send us a message, and we will unmute you so you can speak.
• Report concerns – If you encounter anything that makes you feel uncomfortable, inform a GT Scholars staff member immediately.
• Don’t forget to participate and make the most of this opportunity to learn and grow.
• If you have any concerns, please reach out to a member of our team or talk to your parents/carers to contact us. We’re here to support you!

Consequences of Misconduct

Failure to follow these expectations may result in:

• A warning from GT Scholars staff.
• Removal from the workshop.
• A discussion with parents/carers about behaviour.
• Removal from the programme if behaviour does not improve.

So remember, these rules exist to make sure everyone feels safe and included. But we know you’re all here because you want to learn and make the most of this experience.
