Volunteers and Friends of GT Scholars – Have you seen our latest volunteer spotlight?

We hope you’re having a good week! Applications have been rolling in for our programmes and we are looking forward to getting the new term started. In this week’s newsletter, we like to share some more details of how to get involved with upcoming events, another new volunteer spotlight for you to watch and a helpful blog post for you. Read on for more!

Event support needed for young people living in care
The next two events on our Raising Aspirations Programme will be corporate company visits for young people living in care aged 12-15. We are looking for volunteers, workshop facilitators and events coordinators to help on these days.  The first visit is at Clifford Chance on Monday 15th April from 10am-1pm and the second one is at Lloyd’s Bank on Tuesday 16th April also from 10am-1pm. If you’d like to be part of these visits, please contact me and I’ll get in touch to share more details with you.

Spotlight on one of our volunteer tutors
As part of our volunteer spotlight series, we interviewed one of our amazing volunteer tutors, Claire. She is an English tutor who really enjoys seeing the ‘aha’ moments in her scholar during their tutoring sessions and the sense of imparting what she knows to make a difference. We are also excited to tell you that we have upgraded our spotlight interviews to video format and we hope you’ll enjoy watching it here.
