Volunteers and Friends of GT Scholars – Can you help us reach more young people?

Happy Friday! We’ve got this week’s newsletter ready for you, so sit back, take five and read all about what’s happening at GT Scholars, including some fantastic opportunities you can share with people you know.

Are you available to volunteer on the 21st February?
We’ve got one more event lined up this month and need event volunteers, workshop facilitators, and event coordinators to support us. This workshop is aimed to answer any questions young people aged 15-17 might have about deciding which career path to take. The Careers Uncovered: An Insight into the Working World workshop, will take place at EY, London E14 5EY on Thursday 21st February from 10am-4pm. Please let me know if you’re available to help on this date and I’ll get in touch to share more details with you.

Share our next workshop with young people
The Ready, Set, Go acing your exams workshop will take place next Saturday 16th February at Bell House from 10am-4pm and is open for young people aged 12-16. During the workshop, young people will learn various useful techniques to improve their study and time management skills to help them to improve their grades. Please feel free to share our Eventbrite page with a young person who would like to ace their upcoming exams.

Would your company or university like to partner with GT Scholars?
We are always looking to make new connections with universities and corporates to support us with site visits and work experience opportunities for our scholars. If you think that your university or company would be interested in supporting us, please contact us for more details. We’d love to set up a meeting to discuss how your company or university can help us make a difference.

GT Scholars is a not-for-profit social enterprise and registered charity. Our after-school tutoring, mentoring and enrichment programme is designed to help young people aged 11-18 achieve their academic and career aspirations. Visit our website if you’d like to know more about the GT Scholars Programme and how you can make a significant difference in young people’s lives.
