Volunteers and Friends of GT Scholars – We’re halfway through the third term!

We have a few things we would like to share with you before the weekend begins, including some exciting opportunities for you to get involved in our events.

6 Weeks to the academic year end!
That’s right, we are halfway through the third term! There are still some opportunities to volunteer with us this term. If you are waiting to be matched with a scholar, feel free to visit our web page to find out more about alternative ways in which you can volunteer with us in the meantime.

The importance of work experience
We are very excited about our workshop taking place tomorrow at Goldsmiths University. Project Accelerate is all about helping young people build their CV and find work experience. A huge thank you to all the volunteers who are able to give their support on the day. This interesting blog serves for a great read and weighs up the option of gaining work experience as an apprentice as an alternative to studying at university.

Ways to support at our events!
Do you have experience as a workshop facilitator or event coordinator? We’re looking for workshop facilitators and event coordinators to join us next term! Events will include enrichment days and workshops for our scholars as well as volunteer meetups. Please contact us if you would like further information about these roles and how to apply!

GT Scholars is a not-for-profit social enterprise and registered charity. Our after-school tutoring, mentoring and enrichment programmes are designed to help young people aged 11-18 achieve their academic and career aspirations. Contact us to find out how you can join us a volunteer tutor or mentor and make a difference in young people’s lives.
