Volunteers and Friends of GT Scholars – Volunteers needed for upcoming event!

We hope you’ve had a brilliant week and that you are looking forward to the weekend. Sunday is World Bicycle Day and with the sunny forecast predicted, why not go for a bike ride? There are many festivities throughout the city in celebration of the day. But before you start pedalling away, we would like to share a few things with you.

Volunteers needed for our next workshop
We are in the midst of planning our next exciting event for our scholars that will take place on Saturday the 16th of June from 10am to 4pm at Goldsmiths University. If you think you would be able to volunteer as a photographer or events team member at this event, please contact us.

Contribute to our blog
Whether you have some study hacks to share or would like to discuss interesting educational concepts, we always appreciate contributions to our blog page.  You can write about a range of topics like growth mindset, social mobility and study skills to name a few. Our parents, scholars and other page visitors would love to read all about it. To find out how, click here and we will let you know how you can help.

Volunteer Spotlight on Sophie Germain
We take pride in our volunteers and we are always excited about learning more about them.  Our latest volunteer spotlight interview was with the very talented Sophie Germain. During the interview, she shared her views on social mobility, why she decided to volunteer with GT Scholars and what she enjoys most about her role. You can read the full interview here. Please feel free to email us if you would like to feature in our next edition of our Volunteer Spotlight Interview Series.

GT Scholars is a not-for-profit social enterprise and registered charity. Our after-school tutoring, mentoring and enrichment programmes are designed to help young people aged 11-18 achieve their academic and career aspirations. Contact us to find out how you can join us a volunteer tutor or mentor and make a difference in young people’s lives.
