Volunteers and Friends of GT Scholars – Upcoming Volunteer Meetup!

Volunteers and Friends of GT Scholars – Upcoming Volunteer Meetup!

Hot cross buns, chocolate eggs and simnel cake! We hope you are looking forward to a festive Easter. Here are a few updates to note before the long weekend begins.

Meetup at WeWork Moorgate?
It is time to mingle! Join us on Thursday 17th May at WeWork Moorgate for our Volunteer Meetup. This event offers you the opportunity to meet your fellow volunteers and freelancers, and you will learn more about the impact GT Scholars made this term. We will also have team members available to verify your original documents if you still need to complete your DBS check.  For more information and how to register visit our Meetup or Eventbrite page. We would love to see you there!

Career Day 2018
The annual GT Scholars Career Day was a truly inspirational event. Firstly we would like to express our gratitude to all volunteers and freelancers that took time from their demanding schedules to help out with the event. We would also like to thank our sponsors Amazon Foundation, BlackRock Foundation and Goldsmiths University for their support! For a full rundown of the day, click here to read the event blog post!

Thank you for your help
We are nearing the end of the second term and would like to thank all volunteer tutors and mentors for inspiring and making a difference in our scholars’ lives. Your contributions are definitely worth its weight in gold. If you would like to be a volunteer tutor or mentor next term, please feel free to contact us  and we will get back to you.

GT Scholars is a not-for-profit social enterprise and registered charity. Our after-school tutoring, mentoring and enrichment programmes are designed to help young people aged 11-18 achieve their academic and career aspirations. Contact us to find out how you can join us a volunteer tutor or mentor and make a difference in young people’s lives.
