Volunteers and Friends of GT Scholars – Register for our Volunteer Meetup

We hope you have your dance shoes ready, as it is International Dance Day this Sunday! But before you head to the dancefloor, we would like to share a couple of things with you!

Could you help us capture our vision?
Photos are a great way to share the happenings of our enrichment and skill building events on our blog and social media pages. Our volunteer photographer role is a perfect fit for anyone who is looking to volunteer but also enjoys photography or someone who is looking to build up their portfolio.  Contact us if you would like to find out more.

Pencil it in!
Don’t miss our Volunteer Meetup on Thursday 17th May at We Work Moorgate.  It would be great if you could join us for an evening of networking with your fellow volunteers and also learning more about the difference we are making. Remember to bring your original documentation along if you are planning on completing your DBS check on the evening. Register your attendance on our Eventbrite page; we would love to see you there!

Failure is a part of learning
One of the most important concepts young people need to understand is that through failure, we are provided with an opportunity to learn. Often it is through our fear of failure that we are held back.  With the GCSE exams fast approaching, this blog post can give some guidance on how to equip young people with the correct mindset and allow them to kick their fear of failure to the curb.

GT Scholars is a not-for-profit social enterprise and registered charity. Our after-school tutoring, mentoring and enrichment programmes are designed to help young people aged 11-18 achieve their academic and career aspirations. Contact us to find out how you can join us a volunteer tutor or mentor and make a difference in young people’s lives.
