Volunteers and Friends of GT Scholars – Lucky Friday the 13th!

Volunteers and Friends of GT Scholars – Lucky Friday the 13th!

We hope you’ve had a wonderful week!

Even though it’s Friday the 13th, here are some great opportunities and events that will leave you feeling all kinds of lucky!

Volunteer spotlights

Through your effort and hard work, our scholars are thriving in their academic and personal lives. We want people to know more about our volunteers and what makes them tick, so we are looking for volunteers, past or present, who would be willing to do a short interview for our blog. We will be contacting some of our volunteers over the next few weeks for a short interview for the volunteer spotlights.

Upcoming workshop
We have an exciting workshop for our scholars coming up on Saturday the 18th of November and we would love to get some volunteer help on the day. The session will be in London and will run from 10am to 4pm and it would be great if you could arrive for 9.30am. Please get in touch if you can assist on the day.

Volunteer NOW! London

Our founder, Temi Kamson, will be speaking at an event for Volunteer NOW! London on Wednesday the 18th of October. Volunteer NOW! London connects volunteers looking for a cause with charities needing volunteers through inspirational presentations. If you would like to attend to support and represent GT Scholars, please let us know. The event will take place in the evening from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. You can also find out more about the event here.

GT Scholars is a not-for-profit social enterprise and registered charity. Our after-school tutoring, mentoring and enrichment programmes are designed to help young people aged 11-18 achieve their academic and career aspirations. Contact us to find out how you can join us a volunteer tutor or mentor and make a difference in young people’s lives.
