Volunteers and Friends of GT Scholars – Happy Student Volunteering Week!

Volunteers and Friends of GT Scholars – Happy Student Volunteering Week!

We hope you had a great week. In this week’s newsletter, we celebrate our amazing student volunteers and let you know about some opportunities for you to advance your volunteering.

Student Volunteering Week 2018
This week is Student Volunteering Week which aims to celebrate the impact of student volunteers and encourage students to engage in civic life. It is also a brilliant opportunity to demonstrate how social action creates positive change. We would just like to thank all of our student volunteers for your continued dedication to making a powerful and significant impact in the lives of our scholars.

Could you be an ambassador at your university?
With it being Student Volunteering Week, we would like to tell you about this great opportunity. We are looking to partner with more universities so that we can present our volunteering opportunities to more students. If you are currently studying at a university in London, then you could be an ambassador for us. If you would like to know more, please contact us.

Would you like to be a speaker on our Career Day panel?
We still have a few places available on our GT Scholars Career Day 2018 panel. If you would like to inspire young people to reach their career goals by sharing your success stories and enlightening them on the different options available to them, then please let us know. The event will take place on Saturday, 3rd March 2018 at Goldsmiths University from 10am to 4pm.

GT Scholars is a not-for-profit social enterprise and registered charity. Our after-school tutoring, mentoring and enrichment programmes are designed to help young people aged 11-18 achieve their academic and career aspirations. Contact us to find out how you can join us a volunteer tutor or mentor and make a difference in young people’s lives.
