Funding, fairs and fantastic volunteers – what more do you need on a Friday! Read on for some great news about funding, together with information on some exciting opportunities to volunteer at Freshers Fairs, and a spotlight on one of our fantastic volunteers.
Freshers Fair
We’ll be joining some of the top London universities at their volunteer fairs next month so that we can recruit more brilliant volunteers to join our team. We are looking for some volunteers that can help at our stalls and assist with signing up new volunteers to support our scholars. Please get in touch if you are available on Monday 2nd October, Wednesday 4th October, Monday 9th October or Sunday 17th October.

With their funding, we’ll be able to provide some fantastic new workshops for our scholars over the next few months. GT Scholars is a not-for-profit social enterprise and registered charity. Our after-school tutoring, mentoring and enrichment programmes are designed to help young people aged 11-18 achieve their academic and career aspirations. Prior to working with GT Scholars, Marilyn spent most of her professional career in administration and management within the aviation industry. She's passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential. Marilyn has a keen interest in coding, technology and entrepreneurship. She currently works within GT Scholars as Head of Programmes.
