Volunteers and Friends of GT Scholars – Find your volunteer opportunity!

Another week has come and gone and it is almost time for the weekend. Here’s a few things to check out as we welcome the new month.

Volunteer Spotlight – Meet Roberta Wiafe
In our next Volunteer Spotlight Interview, we got to learn more about Roberta Wiafe. Since deciding to offer her time volunteering, she learned about GT Scholars and decided to volunteer as an English Tutor.  She told us that because she had the privilege of support and guidance as a young person, and she felt that she had to pay it forward and give that same opportunity to someone else. Read the full interview here.

12 Ways to volunteer!
Perhaps you would like to start volunteering with GT Scholars, but you are not quite sure how you can contribute. There are so many more ways to volunteer with us, apart from becoming a volunteer tutor or mentor. Read our blog on 12 different volunteer opportunities we offer here to find the best volunteer role for you.

Ready Set Go: Acing Your Exams Workshop
And lastly, we would like to say a huge thank you for the support at our latest workshop which took place last Saturday. Behind every successful workshop is a great team so the day would not have been possible without the help of our volunteers and freelancers.

GT Scholars is a not-for-profit social enterprise and registered charity. Our after-school tutoring, mentoring and enrichment programmes are designed to help young people aged 11-18 achieve their academic and career aspirations. Contact us to find out how you can join us a volunteer tutor or mentor and make a difference in young people’s lives.
