Volunteers and Friends of GT Scholars – Can you connect us to your company?

Hope you’re having a great week so far?

We’d like to say a huge welcome to the new volunteers that joined us for our induction session last week. It was great meeting you all! We look forward to getting to work with you over the next few months!

Could you help us with space for workshops and induction sessions?

We are currently looking for companies, university societies or community organisations that can support us with free space for our volunteer training sessions and scholar skill-building days. These sessions are usually held on weekday evenings or on a Saturday. Please get in contact with us if you could potentially support us with free space for these activities.

We have a fantastic new role for Workshop Facilitators!

We are looking for inspiring workshop facilitators that are experienced at leading workshops for young people. We run skill-building and leadership workshops throughout the year, in the evenings and on Saturdays, to inspire our scholars by providing them with the knowledge and skills they need reach their goals. If you or anyone you know may be interested in finding out more about the role, please click here.

End of term reports and feedback

If you have been an active volunteer this term but haven’t yet completed your end of term report and feedback form, please fill this in and return the end of term report as soon as possible. The end of term report will help parents and carers understand how they can further support their child at home and the online feedback form will be used to help us identify ways in which we can improve our programmes.

Could you help a friend of GT Scholars?

One of our volunteers has asked for some help connecting her to university students. The survey aims to assess how your physical activity levels change over time and in different environments. If you are a university student, please help Jodine by filling out this survey. It will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. If you need some help with a project and have a short message that you’d like us to add to the parent or volunteer newsletter, please feel free to get in touch and we’ll do our best to include this.

GT Scholars is a not-for-profit social enterprise and registered charity. Our after-school tutoring, mentoring and enrichment programmes are designed to help young people aged 11-18 achieve their academic and career aspirations. Contact us to find out how you can join us a volunteer tutor or mentor and make a difference in young people’s lives.
