Volunteers and Friends of GT Scholars – A volunteer opportunity for everyone!

May the 4th be with you! Today is International Star Wars Day and we just had to join in on the fun. We hope you have some great plans lined up for the weekend.  But first, we would like to share a couple of things with you!

More than one way to volunteer
With the third term underway, you might not have been matched with a tutee or mentee yet. If you are awaiting a match or have just joined our volunteer team, have a look at our range of exciting volunteer roles to consider in the meantime, from volunteering at an event or contributing to our blog page. Contact us for more information.

Volunteer Meetup – 17th of May
Our next Volunteer Meetup will be on Thursday 17th May at We Work Moorgate.  Remember to register your attendance on our Eventbrite page. We are really looking forward to an evening of great company and sharing the impact we’ve been making! We will also have team members available to assist with completing DBS checks, just please remember to bring your original documents along.

A worthwhile pursuit!
At GT Scholars we believe in educational equality and we definitely think that the concept is a worthwhile pursuit. Education is one of the most important aspects of life and should be accessible to all young people regardless of their background. This blog post serves for a very interesting read and certainly puts our vision of equality into perspective.

GT Scholars is a not-for-profit social enterprise and registered charity. Our after-school tutoring, mentoring and enrichment programmes are designed to help young people aged 11-18 achieve their academic and career aspirations. Contact us to find out how you can join us a volunteer tutor or mentor and make a difference in young people’s lives.
