Volunteers and Friends GT Scholars – Make a difference this Spring!

Volunteers and Friends GT Scholars – Make a difference this Spring!

The first week of Spring is in full swing. This season brings with it a sense of hope and promise!  Before the weekend officially begins, we would just like to share a couple of things with you.

Could you join us as a tutor or mentor next term?
We have nearly reached the end of the second term, with the third term fast approaching. Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering as a Maths or English tutor or mentor next term. You can inspire and make a significant difference in a young person’s life.

The Importance of Growth Mindset
All tutors and mentors strive to encourage students to be the very best version of themselves they can be. You want them to work hard and believe in themselves. But what happens if you meet a student with a fixed mindset? Check out this blog post to read more on the importance of a growth mindset and why it is important to tell young people about this.

Join our Meetup group
GT Scholars is now on Meetup, which is a great website that connects people with the same interests. Our Meetup group hosts our current volunteers and freelancers and joining the group can also be that first step you take towards volunteering with GT Scholars. You’re welcome to join our Meetup here so you can stay updated on when and where the next Meetup event will be!

GT Scholars is a not-for-profit social enterprise and registered charity. Our after-school tutoring, mentoring and enrichment programmes are designed to help young people aged 11-18 achieve their academic and career aspirations. Contact us to find out how you can join us a volunteer tutor or mentor and make a difference in young people’s lives.
