Mentoring
People often under-estimate how much work goes into achieving goals. You’ve got to know your stuff, you’ve got to use the right strategies, you’ve got to manage your time and stay motivated. The mentoring sessions support you through the year by helping you manage these issues and stay on track with your goals.
Stay on track with your ambitions
Many young people have high aspirations but fail to meet their aspirations because they lack the tools and strategies needed to achieve their goals.
What do the mentoring sessions it involve?
The mentoring sessions involve working one-to-one with a mentor that is linked to your career aspirations or working in a small group of peers. You’ll have approximately 6 sessions in the year. The sessions are mostly focus on setting personal goals and coming up with suitable solutions or ways to achieving your goals.
What are the benefits of mentoring?
There are numerous advantages to being mentored. One of the biggest benefits is that it gives you the time to set goals. It also gives you the space to think about some of the challenges you’ll face and the chance to work with a mentor to come up with some creative solutions.
Be supported in achieving your aspirations
Your mentors are there to support you and give advice but you decide on the best way to tackle each challenge. As you start to achieve your goals and overcome the challenges, you’ll have a better understanding of your personal strengths and begin to understand what works for you and what doesn’t.
Bring out the leader within!
Over the course of the mentoring sessions, you’ll have a chance to develop your self-leadership and self-management skills. You’ll definitely come up against a few tricky challenges so you’ll need to develop some resilience and be persistent with your goals. The mentoring sessions aren’t just about setting and achieving goals – they are designed to help you discover the leader within!
