In The Know: Online Careers Day – free career support for young people!

The new term is in full swing and as young people continue to learn from home, I wanted to share some unique opportunities to support your child during the lockdown. They include an Online Careers Day, a drama workshop as well as an art competition. Read on to find out more about these exciting online opportunities that you can share with your child.

Free Online Careers Day – Saturday 27th Feb 2021
Our Annual Careers Day is back! And this time we’re moving it online! This is one of our most popular events for the year. The Online Career Day is the perfect opportunity for your child to learn from university admissions professionals, HR professionals and industry experts and learn how to choose a career path best suited for them. The free event takes place on Saturday 27th February 2021, and is open to ambitious young people aged 13-18 and their parents. The experts will be speaking on a range of topics, including apprenticeships, university degrees, scholarships, creative career routes, entrepreneurship and much more! Get Lit this January!
Get Lit – Words Ignite will be hosting a ‘Get Lit’ Saturday Class for teenagers. During this online event, your child will learn writing techniques, performance training and confidence building. The free event is for young people aged 13-19. It will take place on the 23rd of January 2021. Book your ticket for one of 2021’s unmissable events.

Make Space for Art!
The Space Foundation is hosting a creative arts competition. Your child has the chance to join them in their 10th Annual Space Foundation International Student Art Contest. This free competition is for students between the ages of 3-18. The contest has already begun, and entries close on February 1st 2021 at 12am.
