Making a film or video content is a fantastic creative process which can engage a mixed group of young people in working towards a united goal. Through engagement with the filmmaking process, young people can find their voice, tell their story and explore creative ways to express themselves. This week’s events will help you facilitate an introduction into filmmaking and support you on the creative path to making your first film.
Open Day with Free Masterclass
The central film school is hosting an open day for all young people with a desire to study filmmaking. They can explore and learn about what the school has to offer with advice and guidance from programme leaders and industry professionals. Take a tour of the facilities and enjoy the Masterclass. This free event will take place on Saturday, 29th February 2020 from 11am – 2pm at the Central Film School in London. Find out more here.
Short Film Screening Night
Claudia Kaleta is offering a wonderful opportunity for filmmakers and film enthusiasts, aged 16 and above to get together, network and watch weird and wonderful films together at the Kensington Central Library on Saturday 29th February 2020 from 4pm – 7pm. At this event, they will also be screening an additional three short and mysterious films on the same night that will be announced a few days prior to the event. Imperial College London is showing a PhotoSoc exhibition on the 26th February 2020 to 12th March 2020 from 9am to 9pm at the South Kensington Campus. This free event is open to all and is dedicated to providing people with guidance to flourish as a photographer.
