Friends of GT Scholars – Can you connect us with your network?
I hope you’ve had a great week so far and that your Friday is off to a great start! In this week’s newsletter, I’d like to tell you more about the upcoming Raising Aspirations programme and share another great volunteer spotlight interview with you.
Can you help us build a partnership with your company?
We’re looking to expand our network by forming new partnerships and finding ways to collaborate with corporates and universities who are passionate about improving social mobility for young people. If you’re part of a network or company that cares about improving the life chances of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, then please get in touch with me and we can discuss this in more detail.
All about the upcoming Raising Aspirations Programme
One of the reasons we’d like to connect with more corporates is to arrange visits and work experience for young people living in care. Over the next few months, we expect to be building more partnerships for next year’s Raising Aspirations programme which is designed to support and raise the aspirations of young people living in care. To find out more about this programme, including why it exists and how you can get involved, read this blog!
An interview with one of our Volunteer tutors Arash Khosravi
As part of our volunteer spotlight series, I had the pleasure of interviewing one of our brilliant Volunteer Maths tutors, Arash. It was his first term as a volunteer tutor, tutoring Maths online, and it was really great talking to him, hearing about his experience as a tutor and the difference he was able to make through tutoring. You can follow this link to read the full interview.
Have a fantastic weekend!
